First of all, if you are horrified by Zuckerberg's timeline and you've tried to get rid of it, here's a hint: go to www.timelineremove.com, select the browser of your choice, and you'd be ok.(first time user).
For the rest of you (somehow experienced users), there is a simpler solution to the "uninstall/reinstall" routine that I've been trying to explain here in some posts.
For Firefox users, go to the main menu, select Tools > Add-ons, go to Extensions icon on the left and type "Add-on Update Checker" in the search box (upper right). Install it. Now, provided that you have the TimelineRemove plugin installed, it will keep you updated and it will notify you as soon as new versions are available.
For Google Chrome users, there's a plugin similar to the one described above for Firefox, is called "Secbrowsing". It alerts user by showing a red icon on Chrome’s Omnibox when Chrome plug-ins are out-of-date.
For Internet Explorer users: really, are you still browsing with Internet Explorer?

Facebook Timeline Remover - The post apocalypse version
A no brainer. If your Facebook page still shows the timeline, logout. Go to add-ons (Firefox), remove the timeline remove plugin (yes, is a button for that). Restart Firefox. Go to www.timelineremove.com, click on the browser of your choice. You're ok!
Now, if you installed the plugin properly, once you've entered you account in Facebook you should see an option (via the drop-down list near to the Home option).Good luck!
