This is a story about fate. What is fate?
The young ambitious rebel, Congressman David Norris (Matt Damon) is
about to find out after he causes another ripple effect, in “His Plan,”
by accidently meeting Elise Sellas (Emily Blunt) in a hotel men’s room.
David is the front runner in a political battle to become the next US Senator for the great state of New York. An adjustment team is sent in to govern his progress because the reckless behavior of his youth proves to be more than his best friend and campaign chairman, Charlie Traynor (Michael Kelly) can control. That becomes evident after the media delivers a fatal blow to his campaign by the release of damaging arrest photos taken several years ago, on the night he was elected into the House of Representatives. Election Night, with a heavy heart and deflated ego he retreats into the privacy of the men’s restroom to practice his speech, before ultimately appearing in front of his constituencies to concede the Senate race.

For Heaven’s Sake! Who in this world could ever imagine meeting their one True Love, in of all places, a bathroom?
